Board of Trade sessions are great for information relevant to real estate

I attended another Vancouver Board of Trade educational program on Monday night.  I have to say that I have been very impressed with all of the speakers I have seen at the VBT and Monday was no exception.  I find that the information provided is usually quite relevant and cutting edge so useful to me in mapping out and constantly revising our real estate marketing and operations planning.

Monday night's session featured three speakers all of whom gave their perspective on how to thrive in a changing market.  Of course none of them spoke about real estate; in fact real estate wasn't mentioned the whole evening-however the information was very relevant to what we do and where we should be going. It is always interesting to me that, no matter how many professional speakers I see, most of them cover very similar themes and emphasize the importance of key concepts like integrity, keeping in alignment with your beliefs-even if that means firing key clients or perhaps staff, working hard, etc....despite the advertising hype, there are no get rich quick schemes and there is no point in going anywhere if you aren't having fun because the money will not bring the happiness. Fortunately for me, I am someone who absolutely loves what I do so the main hurdle has been jumped!  Anyhow, the presentations were great and I really recommend the VBT as a great educational option-I know most people use it to network and I should likely spend some time looking at that side of it too but as an education junkie, I have to say that it is good value for the information gleaned from the sessions!
