Happy BC Day-hopefully the weather will be nice.  Here are some ideas of things to do:

BC DAY AT LONDSALE QUAY-   Across British Columbia, people will be taking this time off to spend it with family and loved ones.  There will be several events throughout British Columbia but one of my favorite events is being held at the Lonsdale Quay.   From 10am to 7pm the Lonsdale Quay will be filled with people getting their faces painted, listening to bands and exploring the market.  Admission is also free! 

CELEBRATION OF LIGHT FIREWORKS- Gather your friends and family for this amazing event!  Starting July 30th Vancouver will be holding a grand display of fireworks from China. On August 3rd the show will be hosted by Spain and on August 6th Canada will be displaying their work.   This event is held in English Bay (across from First Beach) and will start at 10 pm. 

POWELL STREET FESTIVAL-  This July 30th and 31st at the Oppenheimer Park on  Powell Street the 35th anniversary Powell Street Festival will be held.  From 11:30am to 7:00pm the Oppenheimer Park will be filed with people dancing, film, arts, amateur sumo, crafts and lots of food!   Come on out and enjoy the fun!
