Snow!!!
This is the first time ever that I have had to do showings in three different weeks in the same year in the snow! Having been born and raised in Vancouver, I find this weather shocking! Fortunately, it doesn't seem to have affected people's desire to look at houses (I think a lot of people love looking at houses so much that it is their hobby-as it used to be mine before I started selling -now it’s just a job that I love!)....It does scare me a bit that we are having all of this bizarre weather (Stanley Park is soooo sad). I have ordered a very low emission car but until it gets here, I worry that my current car, while also a low emission vehicle, may be doing too much harm to the environment! That may be the only down side to selling real estate-the impact on the environment. Fortunately, our whole team is quite environmentally conscious wherever we can be. One area we try to focus on is reducing paper use-another tough one in this industry but through reusing the back side of flyers in the printer, printing double sided and just trying not to print when we don't have to, we do what we can.....now if my clients could just wrap their heads around me arriving at their showings on my bicycle!
