Newspapers feel real estate woes.

Buyers of homes love the internet-so do realtors; newspapers, not so much!

The recent drop in real estate advertising in newspapers confirms that buyers are increasingly going online to research home-buying decisions.  Apparently newspapers in New York are experiencing a decline in real estate advertising as many real estate executives are reallocating their print advertising budgets to the web.

Wed based real estate advertising is becoming increasingly popular with home-buyers who want to know all about a property before making the trip out to see it.  Many online real estate sites offer multiple colour photos of properties and descriptions of the neighborhood. Online virtual tours of properties are another reason more house hunters are looking online.

I suspected a while back that the internet would become the new medium of choice for prospective buyers doing research.  I like listing online because web sites are so much more dynamic than newspapers and there are no space restrictions.  I have found that my websites are a great tool to show off properties, offer tips and advice as well as link my clients to any resources that can help them.
