24 hours in Edmonton

Well I just spent slightly longer than 24 hours in Edmonton-a quick trip to take my dad out for dinner as I haven't been able to get there this summer.  For the past few years, every time I go there, I am amazed at the hot real estate market and I lament the purchases I almost made there 10 years ago (including a lovely little character house in a great location that was going for a song).  Well just as is happening across the country, Edmonton's market has dramatically slowed.  Someone told me on Monday that in fact Calgary and Edmonton have seen the most significant price drops to date-I haven't verified that but it seems clear the market has slowed.
