I was just speaking to my mortgage broker and apparently one of the "big banks" has a limited time offer of a 5 year mortgage available for under 5% (where was this in April when I was borrowing a ton of money????). The average discount rate seems to be from 5.25-5.50% so this is a significant savings!
Anyhow, if you know anyone who is thinking of buying, let me know and I will put them in touch with the money...the broker can also hold the rate for a short while so we can find the buyer a home!
