Summer is finally here! Now is a better time than ever to begin your home improvement projects-the weather is great for outside work and MOST IMPORTANTLY if you want to capitalize on the amazing fall real estate market, you need to be ready by mid September. Now I know this may seem strange to be thinking about winter when summer has just begun; however, now is the best time to be preparing your home before the wet weather arrives. Start by draft-proofing your home to prevent heated or cooled air from escaping around windows, doors, and baseboards. This will not only provide great cost savings, draft proofing will help regulate your home’s year-round indoor air temperature and humidity.
2. Re-roofing Your Home
With a lesser chance of rainfall during the summer months, now is an excellent time to carry out any roofing projects for your home. Replacing your roof can be expensive, but holding off often creates more problems (ie. water damage) in the long run.
