The Year of The Water Snake

Blog by Patricia Houlihan - Personal Real Estate Corporation | July 17th, 2013

In a few weeks we will be into the Year of the Snake on the Chinese zodiac. For those who are superstitious this means that it is a year of wise investment, mediation and survival. The snake is known for attention to detail and steady progress. The water snake, which only comes about every 48 years, is symbolic of luck in finances. It will be a good year to invest. And a good year to buy property.

On the Western calendar, the 2013 Chinese New Year begins on Sunday, Feb.10 and ends Jan. 30, 2014.

If you were born in 1917, 1929, 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001, 2013, you were born in the Year of the Snake. Snake children are known to be beautiful women and powerful men.

Snake is about shedding its skin and reintroducing new possibilities. It is about transformation.

Grasp the opportunity whenever there is one. Snakes are known for effort and currying assistance from friends, this can help to guarantee a promising future.

Because this is a water year, it will also take on the traits that you see in water. Calmness and centeredness when still, but when acting en masse, powerful and unstoppable. The market will be like water this year, fluid smooth, with a sudden rush - which we can predict as a buyers' feeding frenzy when the market cools just enough.
