Vancouver real estate hasn't increased as much as we think in the past year
At least not when compared to others areas....I am in Edmonton at the moment and while our market went up about 20-24% last year, they have us beat! The price increases in Edmonton over the past year apparently topped 50%!!!! It's shocking to me given that I left 20 degree Vancouver, with cherry blossoms, daffodils, etc to get off the plane and step into -4 degree weather with snow on the ground and no beaches or mountains in sight! The economy here is booming though-there are jobs available everywhere-which usually pushes the housing market too.....So I was wondering about whether to buy some property here as it seems likely to keep going up...I may not like the climate here but I always like a good real estate investment!
