THE CLIMATE IS RIGHT FOR TRAINS
Blog by Patricia Houlihan - Personal Real Estate Corporation | April 11th, 2008

FOR TRAINS: Global perspectives on sustainable mobility

As cities around the world adapt to growing populations and the
challenges presented by climate change, integrated public transportation
networks have become a critical factor in achieving urban sustainability
and maintaining economic competitiveness. Ray Betler, president of

perspective on sustainable mobility here in British Columbia and around the
world.
With more than 100,000 rail vehicles installed in over 60 countries,
Bombardier Transportation is a world leader in rail and transit equipment,
systems and services. Betler will share insights on developments in public
transportation design and financing, new strategies for green transit, and
how balanced investment in integrated public transit can help maintain
